About
ANDREA WHITT
World-class multi-instrumentalist. Accomplished Visual Artist. A compelling identity entirely her own.
There are a few artists working today who can do what Andrea Whitt does— and she’s uniquely a category of one.
Classically trained on viola since age nine, she holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Viola Performance from the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music. With this foundation, Whitt expanded her range across instruments and genres — viola, violin, fiddle, and pedal steel — moving fluently through classical, jazz, rock, country, and hip-hop. She is an endorsed artist with Sho-Bud, Yamaha, D'Addario, Fender & Dunlop. She is a musician's musician.
Andrea’s recording credits are a clear measure of her artistic versatility--Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy Award-winning To Pimp a Butterfly, Kendrick Lamar’s Damn, Kamasi Washington’s The Epic and Harmony of Difference, Zucchero’s Black Cat Live, and Stu Hamm’s Hold Fast. She also has recording credits with Frank Ocean, Iggy Azalea, Struggle Jennings, Blxst, and Katie Gavin of Muna.
Her live resume includes ongoing global dates with Moby, Shania Twain's multi-year Las Vegas residency, three years crossing six continents with Italian rock legend Zucchero, and US tours with Struggle Jennings. She is a regular guest artist with Blues Traveler and has performed for Dead & Co VIP pre-shows. Andrea has shared stages with Slash, Stevie Wonder, Ariana Grande, John Legend, Kamasi Washington, Phil Lesh, Journey, Jelly Roll, Robert Randolph, Deep Purple, Halsey, Harry Connick Jr., One Republic, Bebe Rexha, 30 Seconds to Mars, Natalie Cole, Shooter Jennings, Lukas Nelson, and Marcus King— among many others.
The press has taken notice: Playboy dubbed her "the mistress of strangs." Her Steel Your Face Sundays Grateful Dead cover series earned a devoted Deadhead following and has been featured on SiriusXM's Grateful Dead channel.
Alongside her music career, she is an accomplished visual artist working in ink, watercolor, and oil, a practice that predates her music career. As another expression of her artistic creativity, she is the founder of Bohobunnie.com, a bohemian lifestyle and fine art brand with editorial collaborations with Free People, coverage in Marie Claire, E! News, and Brit + Co.
She is building a community around live experiences. Her Andrea Whitt and Friends events are part concert, part gathering — the kind of room where Robby Krieger of The Doors makes a guest appearance on stage.
Now she is adding another layer: her own voice. Her debut record, rooted in a category she is pioneering, "Dream Twang," will feature her vocals, dreamy pedal steel, and lush string arrangements alongside high-profile guest musicians and vocalists.
The credits, the canvases, the community — all of it points to the same thing. Andrea Whitt has been building something. It's becoming impossible to ignore.
